Your team does not need to be salespeople. These short, natural phrases make it easy to mention the loyalty programme without feeling pushy. Pick the ones that feel right for your business.
Use this when it is busy and you only have a moment: “We have a free loyalty card. Scan that QR code to join and I will add your first stamp.” Swap the number and reward for whatever your business offers.
Use this when you have a bit more time: “Have you joined our loyalty programme? It is free, takes about 30 seconds, and you earn a stamp every time you visit. Once you hit [number], you get [reward]. Just scan the QR code on the counter.”
Use this with regulars you recognise: “I see you here all the time, have you joined our loyalty card yet? It goes straight into your Apple or Google Wallet, so you will never lose it. Every visit earns you a stamp, and once you have collected [number] you get [reward]. Want me to show you? It takes about 30 seconds.”
Avoid “Do you want to download our app?” because there is no app to download. Avoid “Can I get your email address?” because sign-up only needs a phone number. Avoid “It is complicated to explain” because it really is not. Scan, stamp, reward. That is the whole thing.
